Spheron (previously ArgoApp) partners with Namebase to provide a resilient and socially useful network

Spheron (previously ArgoApp) is excited to announce our new partnership with Namebase. This partnership enables integrations with the leading decentralized, permissionless naming protocol, Handshake! With the aim of better service provision, Spheron (previously ArgoApp) improved its platform with the V2 update that was recently released.

Our partnership with Namebase bolsters Spheron’s (previously ArgoApp) ability to connect masses to the decentralized hosting service made possible through the Arweave Protocol. Through the partnership, the Handshake ecosystem can gain access to both decentralized naming and hosting services.

Tieshun, Namebase’s CEO, commented on the partnership with, Spheron (previously ArgoApp)has built a great solution for developers to use decentralized hosting protocols like Arweave. We’re partnering with Spheron (previously ArgoApp)to combine decentralized naming with decentralized hosting to enable fully decentralized Web3 applications.”

Spheron’s (previously ArgoApp)CEO, Prashant Maurya, stated, “Handshake is among the most prominent protocols concerning decentralized and permissionless lending protocols. This partnership with Spheron (previously ArgoApp) will enable both communities to enjoy the numerous benefits associated with both strong ecosystems.”

Handshake is reinventing the way naming works on the internet. The blockchain provides a decentralized solution to a heavily reliant system on centralized actors, making the current naming system vulnerable to attacks, thus insecure and susceptible to censorship. Handshake hopes to create a more secure, censorship-resistant, and socially useful internet through systems that rely on peer-to-peer validation. Namebase makes interacting with the Handshake blockchain simple, and more accessible.

Handshake users can now access Spheron (previously ArgoApp) features

Spheron (previously ArgoApp) and Handshake are a perfect match. Handshake effectively complements the cloud hosting services of Spheron (previously ArgoApp) by providing a decentralized naming service. Through the partnership, the following Spheron (previously ArgoApp) services are significantly enhanced:

  • Censorship resistance — By giving the masses access to Arweave Protocol, users of ArGoApp can enable censorship-resistant websites. This service is enhanced by the domain name that is now possible through Spheron’s (previously ArgoApp) partnership with Handshake.
  • True decentralization With an active decentralized naming system, Spheron (previously ArgoApp) can now offer a truly decentralized experience for developers.
  • 100% Uptime Because both the domain names and hosting services are truly decentralized, websites stored on Spheron (previously ArgoApp) have an assured 100% uptime with no interferences from third parties.
  • Permanent deployment — Handshake enhances the security of decentralized websites, bolstering the permanent deployment status of these websites as they are immune from both administrative and technical attacks.

The synergistic capabilities of these two platforms are unquestionable. We are now one step closer to achieving true decentralization in the blockchain ecosystem.
