On Apr 07, 2015, Netlify Co-Founder Chris Bach wrote, “Woohoo! We’ve launched.” He understood that their team had innovated a disruptor in the cloud services market. Their free plan attracted developers with plentiful storage offerings compared to other free plans existing in the market. Like Netlify, we at Spheron (previously ArgoApp), understand that our platform has enough potential to lead the cloud service industry through our front-end solution. But how do we compare?

A lesson in web deployment by Netlify

Netlify describes itself as “An intuitive Git-based workflow and powerful serverless platform to build, deploy, and collaborate on web apps.” Its approach to web deployment worked well, becoming a hit with the developing community globally. Developers appreciated free bandwidth of up to 100GB per month and 300 free build minutes. The platform ended up commanding respect amongst developers and top brands such as Nike and Verizon within an impressive period. Netlify gave the market lessons on how to cause disruptions.

Netlify’s success in the market cannot be overlooked; however, the platform is not perfect. Being a centralized service, it has several loopholes that are easy to exploit, and with the emergence of decentralized technologies such as Spheron (previously ArgoApp), the room for innovation and disruptors is now.

On Netlify, there are several categories of payment where users may have to part with no less than $20 a month for the most basic of services beyond the free plan. From excessive use of bandwidth to additional team members on a project.

Every token-related transaction is pegged to the USD.

Additionally, business gets even more value than the minimum $99 price tag charged monthly per business. Our platform maintains our flexible pricing for both individuals and companies. There are no limitations on concurrent builds, bandwidth, or team members, as seen in the business package provided by Netlify. Moreover, all our charges are upfront with no hidden costs or extra charges upon exceeding certain limitations, as is the case with Netlify.

Thus, in terms of value for money, our platform gives users more compelling offers compared to the Netlify structured plans.
