The adoption of a blockchain-powered decentralized internet might be the most major leap forward in internet evolution, putting to rest the dispute over centralized vs. decentralized networks.

The decentralized internet fascinates developers because it grants them total control over where their data is kept and how it is used in this evolving ecosystem. Because it is open-source, a decentralized internet would allow users to report problems, make fixes, and create new technologies that would augment the internet.

Spheron Protocol is an all-in-one decentralized platform for automating modern web hosting. Replace your hosting infrastructure, continuous integration, deployment pipeline with a single workflow and simplify your deployment process on decentralized storage networks.

Users of the Spheron platform may attach centralized or decentralized domains for their projects. Spheron also has an automatic domain resolver, which helps developers save time by resolving the most recent deployment. Most decentralized cloud protocols deliver the deployed URL in hashes, which are not human-readable. This is a crucial feature for developers.

Most significant features of Spheron:

  1. Creating Organisation:

Users can establish one or more organization accounts with Spheron Protocol. All of their initiatives will be imported into the organization. These accounts reflect a group of individuals that share project ownership, and there are several methods for managing subgroups of those individuals.

2. Inviting members to the organization:

The owner of an organization can add members to his org by entering the Email ID of the person he wants in his/her Org. The person will receive an invitation mail from the Spheron team.

On accepting the invitation and following the successful login procedure, you will be added as a member of the organization and your profile will be visible under Organization Members.

3. Project creation with repositories like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket:

Currently, Github is the sole source available to provide service in Spheron Protocol. Through which users can select the repository from which they wish to link their Spheron site.

Spheron protocol is all set to incorporate GitLab and Bitbucket. GitLab and Bitbucket, similar to Github, are DevOps platforms that bring together development, operations, and security teams in a single app. GitLab allows teams to save development costs and risks while reducing time to market from weeks to minutes.

4. Archive a project:

Spheron protocol allows you to archive your organization’s dormant projects that are no longer in use on a regular basis for long-term storage.

5. Deployment on Arweave:

Spheron makes leading decentralized storage networks easily accessible for developers who wish to utilize the benefits of blockchain without getting into its complexities. You can host your web app or static website using Arweave, Skynet, or pinata and use IPFS pining services using Spheron.

Arweave: Arweave is a new sort of storage that backs data with long-term and eternal endowments, letting users and developers genuinely retain data forever. Arweave allows us to recall and store vital information, apps, and history permanently as a jointly owned hard drive that never forgets. It stops others from rewriting history by conserving it.

6. Deployment on Skynet:

Skynet: Skynet applications expand the boundaries of what is possible on the internet. Beyond safeguarding privacy, decentralization allows for application, integration, and innovation that the centralized world just cannot match. We can now break free from the walled gardens and data silos that have stifled innovation and interoperability in the past. Decentralization’s key elements, such as user-owned personal data, permanent identification across applications, and censorship resistance, will become the new digital world’s norms.

7. Deployment on IPFS and pinning on leading storage service providers:

IPFS: IPFS is web3’s file system for handling the storage and retrieval of data across distributed networks. A unique use case of this is even websites can be hosted on this amazing network. To ensure that our files are held at least by a few nodes, we have a few pinning services that ensure this by instructing their own nodes to keep specific files.

At Spheron Protocol (previously ArGoApp), we provide complete support, from compiling your repositories from Github, putting them on IPFS, and then pinning it with any of the two pinning services available with us Filecoin and Pinata. Users get to choose from 2 different IPFS pinning services: Filecoin & Pinata.

What is Filecoin?

Filecoin: Filecoin is a decentralized network that allows for storing data accessible from virtually anywhere. Users can offer their available storage as nodes on the network and earn Filecoin as data is stored and retrieved on those nodes. We are using Estuary, which is the solution sought by many developers who are coding for web3. The Estuary is, in essence, an IPFS node with an integrated minimal Filecoin library. Getting Filecoin to work with IPFS should not be a complicated process, but it can be a little tricky to get right, so we leverage Estuary API for interacting with Filecoin directly and pin IPFS hash on Filecoin.

What is Pinata?

Pinata builds tools and infrastructure that make it easy for Web3 developers to create and manage content on IPFS while also leading a change in how the world stores, accesses and verifies blockchain-linked content. With a friendly, intuitive user interface that makes the most of the IPFS Pinning Service API, Pinata truly is a game-changer for Web3, making development easier and improving data confidence for a wide variety of use cases.

8. CI/CD Pipeline for automated deployments:

A continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline is a set of procedures that must be followed to deploy a new version of the software. Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are a DevOps or site reliability engineering (SRE) methodology aimed at optimizing software delivery.

Automated deployment on CI/CD pipelines is one of the most versatile features of the Spheron protocol. A CI/CD pipeline is the backbone of the current DevOps environment, since it automates the construction, testing, and deployment of applications, bridging the gap between development and operations teams.

Your software delivery process is automated with a CI/CD pipeline. The pipeline generates code, runs tests (CI), and delivers a new version of the application in a secure manner (CD). Automated pipelines eliminate human mistakes, offer developers consistent feedback loops, and allow for rapid product revisions.

9. Attaching centralized domain and subdomain:

Centralized domain: Spheron provides the feasibility to attach centralized domains and subdomains through its protocol.

Advantages of a centralized domain: Consistency, efficiency, and cost are some of the primary benefits of centralized network administration.

10. Automated DNS Resolver:

DNS Resolver: A DNS resolver receives DNS requests from web browsers and other programs.

Automating DNS: Admins may push out self-service features to stakeholders directly by automating DNS on the back end. Everyone’s productivity rises as a result of this. It also adheres to security best practices when it comes to restricting access to critical network functions.

Previously, users had to add specific entries to their DNS provider when they linked their domain to a project. As a result, when users redeployed the project again, they had to alter these records again, resulting in a significant overhead for the users.

Users of Spheron now only need to add their domains and records to their DNS provider once. When a user redeploys a site after successful verification, their domain will automatically refer to the most recent deployment, or the user can choose to point the domain to a specific deployment.

11. Attaching HNS domain and subdomain:

HNS domain: Handshake (HNS) is a blockchain-based peer-to-peer network that functions similarly to a secure public register. It’s a novel way to domain name ownership that avoids established organizations and registry monitoring, giving users more control and ownership over their domain name and website.

12. Attaching ENS domain and subdomain:

ENS domain: The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a name service for machine-readable identifiers such as wallet addresses and hashes. Reading strings of data into clearly readable addresses becomes tough. It functions in the same way as the Domain Name System (DNS) for web pages does.

13. Embracing Polygon:

Polygon combines the best of Ethereum with pivotal elements of some sovereign blockchain protocols into a dedicated multichain system tailored for developers. By embracing Polygon, developers using our solutions are assured of a seamless experience working on their innovations.

Our platform, through Polygon, ensures low gas fees and high TPS for improved operational experience by developers. Polygon deals with pain points that many developers go through in other platforms, which is why we chose to partner with the multichain system.
