Spheron 2021 Wrap
2021 is going to end in a few days, and we are entering a new year with new hopes and new aspirations. Having reached several milestones during this roller coaster ride now is the time to reflect on what worked for us & what taught us important lessons of entrepreneurship & product development in the blockchain space. We have come a long way, starting with ArGo, moving to ArGoApp, and rebranding to Spheron. Our journey has been incredible, from raising over $1775 in Gitcoin Grants in April 2021 to crossing 9400+ transactions on our protocol in December 2021. Having raised 1.3 million dollars in our seed round back in April 2021 to build a fantastic product for developers and having crossed 9600 deployments in December 2021 goes out to show our commitment & focus to achieve what we had promised to our investors & early supporters.
Growth results from internal & external forces working together, and Spheron has grown leaps & bounds since its inception. 2021 will always be a particular year for us, not only because it was the year when we launched our testnet but also because we were able to onboard 2400+ users on the protocol who have already spent 100k+ seconds deploying their web applications & static websites on Spheron(previously ArGoApp). This is a positive indication of developer confidence in our project, and we are glad to have made their deployment experience simple & programming-free. Our aim has always been to create a frictionless experience for developers willing to take the leap and join the new web.
We have grown our user base steadily over the last few months, but it's not only our users that have increased, but we have also increased our community this year. From 3000+ followers across Twitter, Telegram, LinkedIn & Discord in April 2021 to become a massive community of 29k+ members, the Spheron brand (previously ArGoApp) has received a lot of love & support throughout the year. We have managed to keep our community members engaged despite the bears & the bulls. Having cracked the code of engagement, we are currently focused on growing our community and are working on several campaigns to reach out to new members to join us & support us in our mission to make blockchain adoption easy & affordable for the masses.
Our product roadmap
The truth is that teamwork is at the heart of everything we do at Spheron (previously ArGoApp). And our product team has been rigorously following our roadmap and producing excellent results for us since the beginning. Right from adding the Organization Creation feature that allows teams to work together, we have added several new features during the last few months during 2021, making the deployment experience on our protocol as frictionless as possible for developers. Our recognitions
Winning is a habit at Spheron (previously ArGoApp). Super excited to share that we participated in NEAR's first-ever Accelerator in India and won the campaign.
In October, we participated in the $ETH Global Hackathon and won prizes from ENS, Biconomy & Skynet. Our team has been working on making the developer experience frictionless and simultaneously has participated in such events to prove we have an incredible pool of talent that never misses an opportunity to impress.
It gives us immense pleasure to share with you that we had also participated in NEO's Frontier Launchpad in July, and we were amongst the top 11 startups out of 50+ participants and won the Excellence Award.
Around the same time, we were also selected for the Newchip Accelerator program, allowing us to showcase our capabilities on the global stage and learn the techniques of fundraising and networking under the guidance of experienced industry veterans.

Our community engagement
In 2021, we have launched several campaigns and have been successful in most of them. Of course, you win some & you lose some. But the best part about our journey so far has been the strong support from our community. We have never felt alone while trying out new things; from launching a meme design competition on our Twitter handle to initiating a referral campaign on gleam, we have done it all during the year.
The engagement has been high throughout & the support has been immense. We are grateful & thankful for all the love our community has showered upon us. We are currently running a Sticker Designing competition on our Telegram group & have recently initiated an Ambassador Hunt to onboard blockchain enthusiasts with us who can be our affiliates and help us reach out to newer pastures.
Our future outlook
The future looks bright at Spheron (previously ArGoApp) as we move to the following year. We are about to close our next round of funding dedicated to full-fledged marketing & brand building to grow our user base. We are targeting double-digit growth in the coming months, considering our double-digit MOM performance last year. The mainnet is around the corner, and the new landing page is getting ready too. Many possibilities are about to unfold post our Akash integration; as we add the compute layer, it opens the door for server-side applications. We are on the road to becoming a complete no-code solution for blockchain adoption.
